The AIDS epidemic has been described as the greatest public health challenge the world has ever faced. And the epicenter of this crisis is Africa, where AIDS is the leading cause of death.
But, it is a preventable and treatable disease. In fact, the difference between life and death can come down to just two pills a day for a cost of around 40 cents a day. That’s 2 pills a day that could save the lives of the estimated 4,100 men, women and children who die in sub-Saharan Africa every day – people living with HIV AND AIDS who cannot afford to buy the medicine they need to stay alive.
World AID's Day and (RED) hope to bring awareness to not only the SOLVEABLE problem occuring in countries around the world that could do with our help.. but also to us all on a personal front.
Something as simple as getting a blood test and communicating honestly and openly with your partner, a piece of latex, a dental dam and just being AWARE could save you and your loved one.
So from us to you.. be safe, be aware and remember
