The Age of Edward contest brought upon many different Edwards and it was like watching a great period piece. This one shot was chalk full of history and will written within the time period, at least in my opinion. The lemon was sweetly written, just enough...perfect.

Sorry kittens but I just can't get into period pieces. I read very few Age of Edward Entries and this one I just couldn't get into. The citrus was sweet and the storyline beautiful and detailed, especially for a one shot but just not something I'd choose to read.

drtammy is a very faithful reader of mine, and while I admit I haven't read her multi-chap fics, this one I DID read and holy hell...LOVED it. I love the colonial days and Edward fits the part PERFECTLY. One thing you can say about this author, she checks her facts and makes the storyline believable. The lemon was short, yummy, but as a whole, this one wasn't for the lemony goodness. Tammy somehow managed to make a one-shot feel like a full story and I LOVED it!

What a beautifully written piece. The language was just right and all of the facts and period facts seemed in place and followed. I think that the lemon was perfectly played out, the testing of new grounds and the experimentation before hand was sweet but not overdone. It flowed very well and even with the older language, and references it was smooth. I enjoyed it immensely.

I was very impressed by the amount of research she put into the oneshot. I also enjoyed the touch of lemony sweetness, not going completely overboard and pulling the piece out of the chosen time frame was a great choice.
An extremely nice read.
