Be still my heart...I was excited when I saw the title of the o/s, because I, myself, have a deep appreciation for a man in uniform...even more exciting when it's one Jasper Whitlock in a Confederate uniform. *minds wanders off to next June when Eclipse comes out and Jasper's flashback...Jackson..gah* Anyways, about the o/s. It was beautifully written and I absolutely adored the interaction between Jasper and Alice. Not gonna lie the moment Jasper introduced himself I had a slight moment. The lemon was sweet and captured the emotion shared between Alice and Jasper. A great read...bravo.

Jasper in a confederate uniform. *drool* Seriously a beautifully written one-shot that had me so lost in the moment I could see my boy in uniform, with his blond hair falling into his eyes as he appraised Alice. Then there was the playful banter in the role play that made me smile. He and Alice are beautiful together in this. And as vampires, their passion and love emanated throughout. The writer really captured the moment and gave me a little more understanding and insight into the mate for life theory. Using Jasper's special gift in it made the sensuality even more beautiful. It was like catching a moment away from the books, what it could really be like for the vamps when they're alone.

As I got into this o/s I realized that the saying is true for vamps as well as humans- there is something about a man in uniform. I believe 'Southern' Jasper could charm the pantaloons off any woman- no matter what the time era- and Alice is no different. No over the top smut - just a nice fluffy lemon from one of our favorite couples. Very nicely done. Can I just add though that I am sure that no matter how dashing looked in his uniform - it looked even better lying on the floor.
