Great things have come from this Tattward&Inkella contest. Some hot smexy Tattwards, but this...this one is different. Usually we have these one shots full of hot smexin', but this, this was different. I found myself bawling by the end of it. Definitely not something you should read at work....

I was expecting lemony freshness. Instead, I got a heart full of ache, and my mascara running. My father died of cancer, so any story WITH cancer always makes me cry. This is quite lovely. I wouldn't call it sexy, by any means, but truly worth the read!

I am truly sad after reading that. The pain that he knew, the imminent end that was so tangible. It was always working towards that and I found myself crying at the happiness they shared, because it would be the one thing I knew she would grip to. So worth the heartache for the read.

I was on Twitter and saw everyone tweeting about this. So once again ignoring work, I clicked on the link to take a look. By the end I was bawling like a baby at my desk. Typically I don't like angsty one shots, but this one just blew me away. I actually held my stomach against all the raw emotion I was feeling. It takes a lot of courage to think outside the normal 'sexy' box we typically see in contests and the author mixed the right amount of love and heartache that made me want to call my hubby and tell him how much I loved him. Just make sure to have a tissue on hand. .
