I tried. I tried REALLY hard to like this. I read all seven chapters to date and I REALLY TRIED to find something I liked.

The imagery HippyHappy uses was great, the scenes are set and you do feel like your right there in amongst the action. Your introduced to all the characters within the first two chapters and know a little about each of them to get you familiar with who is doing what and why. The official summary for Stow Away

is pretty much what the story pertains to. Edward is the loner in his family, his brother and sister have found their partners in life and he yearns to have that relationship himself. Then there is Bella, who has found herself a slave to James and his radical terrorist plans. She's not seen her family or friends in over two years, she can't even remember the last time she spoke.

After Bella manages to escape, she stows herself away aboard the Guardian and during one of the wierdest games of hide and seek (these people are adults, aboard a ship playing hide and seek.. just didn't sit right with me) Bella is found and pretty much immediately taken into the Cullen fold. They hit a rough patch of ocean and after some quick thinking, she's offered a place aboard the Research vessel. Lucky she's had all those years of experience on the Alaskan coast with her Dad and Billy Black's ships to know her way around a vessel.

Maybe it was the fast pace, maybe it was the feeling that I was being preached at about Whales (I live in Australia and every whale season we hear a lot about Japanese Whale "research" ships so maybe that's why I didn't get as interested as its a subject I'm familiar with). Or maybe it was because the outline and idea behind the piece didn't interest me at all. But I just couldn't get into it.

If your looking for a fic that's different, deep and not just your average high school love triangle, than this could be for you. But alas, for me it was not..
